Belmont Sentinel Golf Classic Tourname

Dear Belmont H.S. Friends:

On behalf of Belmont High School Athletic Booster Club (BABC), I would like to extend a special invitation to you and your friends to participate in our 1st Annual Sentinel Golf Classic Tournament on Monday April 14, 2014 at Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena CA, Registration starts at 7:00am, Shot-Gun starts at 8:00am

BABC is an organization that raises funds that are used towards the development of Belmont High School‘s Athletic Scholarships fund and to purchase equipment for the athletic program. Each year, a deserving male and female graduating senior are awarded $ 500 scholarships by Belmont Athletic Booster Club.  Securing players and sponsors for this important event is especially important this year, as we face challenges on our Public High School education community.

Your support and participation or referral will be a great vote of confidence in our mission.  As a sponsor, you will receive thanks and recognition in the event program and will be entitled to additional benefits during the course of the tournament.

Belmont H.S. Booster Club Meeting Monday Feb.3, 2014

Hello BABC Members and Friends:
 
This is a friendly reminder:
 
Our Next Booster Club Meeting is on Monday Feb.3,2014 @ 7pmat the Parent Center room 107.
 
We will be touching very interesting subjects: Scholarships, Funds, Golf Tournament and more...
 
Many people I have invited to our event in Pasadena are expecting to see Belmont students work with Booster Club during the event. If you are a teacher and have students to want to participate, please talk to Mr. Neil La Sala or Ms. Cao. We will train the team and we'll make a trip to Brookside G.C. to get familiar with the place.We need approximately 8-10 students male/female. If they have time, They are invited to come to our monthly meeting and give them a little introduction.
 
Booster Club will provide meals to students during the event and they'll have the opportunity to meet many professional people who graduated from Belmont H.S. and more

Belmont H.S. Booster Club Meeting Dec. 02, 2013

Belmont H.S. Athletic Booster Club(BABC) meeting on Monday Dec. 02, 2013. @ 7:00PM at the Parent Center Room 107. We have many topics to discuss!!!  BABC has received additional support from friends of Belmont H.S. who have demostrated their interest to get our project get off the ground, Come and find who they are!! 

I encourage you to participate in any of the many BABC activities year round!!

BABC gave $ 1000.00 in two Athletic Scholarships to our Students Athletes who graduated in 2013, Now, BABC In proud to project that in 2014 will increase  Athletic Scholarships. Stay in Touch with us, Our Board is Working hard to bring more opportunities to our Children in Belmont.

Belmont H.S. Golf Tournament April 14, 2014

Belmont H.S. Athletic Booster Club is organizing The First Annual Golf Tournament at Brookside Golf Course, Pasadena CA.

Format: TBD 18 holes

Place: Brookside G.C. Course # 1, Koiner Course.

Date: Monday April 14, 2014

Time: 8:00am Shot Gun

Cost: $ 150.00 per person, this includes: Green Fees, Cart, Range Balls, Light Breakfast, Lunch, and many additional contests. If you not play Golf, you can buy your Lunch for $ 30.00 and share with us during the price presentation Ceremony at the end of the Round.

If you Golf, you have plenty of time to start making your own team. With your support, Belmont Booster Club will be adding more Athletic Scholarships to Belmont H.S. Graduating Students in June 2014.

BOOSTER CLUB CHARITY FUNDRAISING DINNER DANCE

 Hello Bemont Families and Friends:

 

Belmont Athletic Booster Club (BABC) is working hard to bring Athletic Scholarship to our students athletes. We have already started to raise some funds; and we expect by graduation in June 2013 or before, BABC Will be awarding Scholarship to the most outstanding Belmont Students Athletes.

Give us a hand in attending our invitation to our fundraising activities. BABC along with Belmont Athletic Department are working to provide additional opportunities to our students before they start  college!!!

First Booster Club Fundraiser Oct/12, 2012

Hello BELMONT BOOSTER CLUB FAMILY:

 

We want to thank Mr. Cao for allowing us to participate in our First Booster Club Fundraising. We sold PUPUSAS AND CHAMPURRADO during the Belmont H.S. Vrs. Royball H.S. Homecoming football game.

We did it very well thanks to the help of My wife Ana Chavez, Mrs. Teresa Salguero, Belmont H.S. Teacher, Mr. Jose Merino, Mrs. Virginia Alfonso our Booster Secretary  and to the students: My son Pedro Chavez, Edvin Hernandez, Erick and many other students.

 

We also had the Blender RAFFLE ON Oct. 13, 2012 During the Belmont Alumni Pic Nic. The Winner was

Mr. John Zunino with the number 430297 Congratulations.

Belmont Booster Club Meeting on Oct. 1, 2012

Hello Belmont Family:

 

Our next Belmont Booster Club Meeting will be on Monday Oct. 01, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Student Cafeteria.

We need to fill in to position for officers: Secretary and treasurer and two Directors. We will explain the Director's job little more in detail. Once we have the Board completed, we can start planning for any kind of events to start fundrainsing.

Bring friends of the community to support our club, this way we assist our children in any needs.

BOOSTER CLUB BY LAWS AND CONSTITUTION SAMPLE

 

Hello BELMONT H.S BOOSTERS:

 

Because in our 2nd meeting on July 02. 2012,  We are going to start talking about our booster club formation, I have placed a SAMPLE of a BOOSTER CLUB BY LAWS AND CONSTITUTION. This way, everyone will be familiar with everything we are doing.

Please remember, this will be a NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION  which the main objective will be to assist BELMONT HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT!!!. and their development.

Students, teachers, Coaches, Alumni, Prindipals, Local  Business in the community are welcome and everyone who wish to participate.

  ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB

 

 

a. Role of the Club

 

The ___________ Athletic Booster Club exists as an organization of parents and community persons dedicated to:

 

1) Supporting, encouraging and advancing the athletic program and related activities of the __________ School District, thereby cultivating clean, wholesome school spirit, promoting good sportsmanship, and developing high ideals of character.

 

2) The Club shall promote projects to improve facilities and equipment necessary to provide an adequate athletic program for the school district.

 

3) The club shall not seek to influence or direct the technical activities or polices of the school administration or of the school officials who are charged with the responsibility of conducting the athletic program of the schools of the district.

 

The club shall do nothing which violates the rules of the ___________ School Association or in any way jeopardizes the membership of the school district in said athletic/activity association.

 

b. Financial

 

The booster club each year contributes many thousands of dollars to the athletic department for the needs of each sport that otherwise would not be available. Primarily, the monies of the Booster Club will be expended for 1) capital improvements of the athletic facilities, 2) major purchases for a sport, 3) warm-ups and uniforms, 4) reconditioning, and 5) championship awards.

 

c. Relationship with Coaches

 

Coaches are encouraged to take advantage of every opportunity to work with the booster club in their many fund-raising projects during the course of the school year, especially the August membership drive. The more coaches become involved in booster projects, the more it will strengthen good-will between the club and the athletic department. In the event a booster club member asks you about your athletic needs, discuss it in general terms with the member, but remind the member that you will make the request officially through the athletic department budget procedure.

 

d. Relationship with the Athletic Administrator

 

The high school athletic administrator will attend all athletic booster meetings and act as official liaison between the school district and the booster club. In May each year, the athletic administrator will present the booster club with the budget request for the following year as requested by the coaches.

e. Support Clubs

 

Individual sports may create an organization of parents and interested persons to promote a sport specifically. This club will be under the sponsorship of the head coach and exists primarily to: 1) promote positive public relations with the coaching staff, 2) raise monies for the end of the season award banquet, 3) provide spirit type T-shirts, shoes, etc.

The sport support clubs shall serve as a satellite of the athletic booster club and have representation on their board of administrators. ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB CONSTITUTION

 

ARTICLE I:               NAME

 

The name of this association shall be the _____________ ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB, INCORPORATED.

 

ARTICLE II:   PURPOSE

 

1)    This association shall support, encourage and advance the athletic program and related activities of the ____________ School District and thereby cultivate wholesome school spirit, promote good sportsman­ship, and develop character and high ideals.

 

2)    This association shall promote projects to improve facilities and equipment necessary to provide an adequate athletic program for the school district.

 

3}    This association shall not seek to influence or direct the technical activities or policies of the school administration or of the school officials who are charged with responsibility of conducting the athletic program of the schools of the district.

 

4)    This association shall do nothing which violates the rules of the _________ High School Athletic Association or in any way jeopardizes the membership of the school district in said athletic association.

 

ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP

 

1)    Any person interested in the purpose of this association shall be eligible for membership upon payment of the annual dues. (To be established yearly by the Board of Directors)

 

2)    The dues of this association shall be determined by the current board. Memberships will be designated as family, individual and business involvements.

 

3)    Outright gifts will be accepted.

 

ARTICLE IV: BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

1)    The governing authority of the association shall be a Board of Directors consisting of eighteen (18) members, and the four (4) voting officers.

 

2)    The Board of Directors shall be organized as follows:

a)         Each director shall normally serve a three-year term of office. To make the transition from the previous Constitution, ongoing Board Members should form the nucleus of the new board and can be nominated for any of the one or two-year terms.

b)         Outgoing members may be re-elected to one, two or three-year terms.

c)         To complete the initial Board of Directors, new members shall be elected to fill out the terms remaining.

 

3)    The chairperson of all committees shall be one of the directors. Other committee members may include non-directors. Chairpersons shall be appointed by the president. Committee suggestions include, but are not limited to, concessions, programs, membership, award programs and special events.

 

4)    The Executive Committee shall consist of the officers of the booster club and may resolve urgent matters.

 

ARTICLE V:   OFFICERS

 

1)    The officers of this association shall be a president, a vice-president, a coordinating vice-president, a secretary and a treasurer.

 

2)    The officers shall be elected annually as follows:

 

a)         The President shall be the Vice-President from the previous year. If the Vice-President is not available to ascend to the President's office, one shall be elected by the Board.

b)         The Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer will be elected by the Board of Directors at a short meeting following the Annual Meeting in May and be in office for the June meeting.

c)         The Coordinating Vice-President will be whoever is the Athletic Director for the _____________ School District, and will serve in a non-voting advisory capacity as the principal liaison between the school system and the Athletic Booster Club.

ARTICLE VI: NOMINATIONS

 

1)    The President shall appoint himself, the Coordinating Vice-President and at least three (3) members of the Board of Directors to serve as a Nominating Committee.

 

2)    The Nominating Committee shall meet during the month of April and nominate at least one (1) candidate each for Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer, along with at least seven nominees for the Board of Directors, plus individuals to fill any vacancies that have occurred.

 

3)    The Booster Club members shall, at their Annual Meeting in May, elect new directors from the slate presented by the Nominating Committee. The directors shall take office at the close of the Annual Meeting (see Article V, Paragraph 2 for procedures to elect officers).

School parking lot will be available for our guest attending this meeting.

BOOSTER MEETING ON JULY 2, 2012

Hello everyone:

We are a few days away from our third meeting to form our BOOSTER CLUB FOR ATHLETICS.

We are expecting lot of more  people attending this meeting, We love to see you there. And don't forget, bring your ideas on how to help our students athletes of our school. We need to find a way to support sport in our local school so everybody can enjoy and have more fun watching our kids play.

Congratulations to the SWIMMING TEAM OF BELMONT for having the highest GPA of all sports in our BELMONT school.

Coaches from BELMONT H.S.  are encouraged to participate and share ideas with us.

Mr. Neil La Sala, our Athletic Director will joined us. Also, the Student Cafeteria will be open for this meeting.

I also want to take this opportunity to invite our formers coaches from Soccer: Mrs.  Carr and all enthusiastic people who want to help to form our BOOSTER CLUB, there are many students athletes who want to see you.

BOOSTER CLUB MEETING ON JUNE 04,2012

 

Hello BELMONT H.S. Family:

As you all knew, we had our first BOOSTER CLUB meeting on June 04, 2012 in Belmont H.S. Student Cafeteria. 

I  want to thank parents, students, and everyone who made the effort to attend this meeting last night,  and especially to Mr. Edgar Hernandez in The Parent Center who is doing an exceptional job by inviting every parent to participate  in our school, Mr. Neil La Sala our Athletic Director who on his after work hours  decided to join us to contribute in helping to keep our students in sports and giving the parents a lot of support and make a BOOSTER CLUB  a reality.

I invite everyone to believe in this reality. At this moment, we have nothing done but we started to connect with people who have the knowledge to guide us how to the point that we want. FUNDS, AND SUPPORT to sponsor a good and competitive Athletic program for BELMONT ATHLETES In general.

I our meeting we were honored with the visit two HIGH REGARDED persons, one from AYSO who is well known in our community, and another from BLUE SHIELD ( Salvation Army) The opportunity  to get Scholarships for athletes, also information to try outs for  U16 US NATIONAL SOCCER TEAMS which was held recently in our local neighborhood. Also, it was exposed that the from time to time, National Soccer Team from EL SALVADOR, GUATEMALA, and HONDURAS  practice in one of our Local school area. We want to get involved to have that info handy to our students.

Also, we want to target opportunities for students in   every sport, and whoever has it please come and share with us in BELMONT Athletics.

Finally, this morning I was told that  FOOTBALL TEAM from BELMONT HS HAD A SUCCESS season last year, Congratulations!!!!! perhaps a little too late but it is worthy to recognize it. Should you had any more to post let us know so we can start doing it.
