During the meeting, there was a little concern by a member of the audience by not being acknowledged her interest in taking part as a volunteer for our club. At that moment, such position was open and we invited the person one more time to take it. After revising my phone call records, I found out that I had called the wrong person and I (Mr. Chavez) wants to publicly express his apologies and The Booster Club likes to offer the opportunity to this person to be part of BABC . Booster CLUB THIRD MEETING AUGUST 06, 2012

BELMONT HIGH SCHOL www.belmontathletics.org Belmont Athletic Booster Club Election meeting Minutes, August 06, 2012 Welcome to the audience: The welcome to the Fourth Belmont Athletics Booster Club Meeting was given by Damasio Chavez. He expressed appreciation to the people attending the meeting. The meeting started at 7: 20 PM and was conducted mainly by Mr. Chavez with idea to elect The Board of Directors for Belmont Athletics Booster Club. Mr. Damasio Chavez made an honorary Roll Call from our previous meeting attendees; although this was not an official Roll, however, for future record purposes this was presented. Minutes from July 02, 2012 was read by Mr. Damasio Chavez. Since there is no official Board yet, there was no motion to approve the minutes but it was written with the idea to set record for Belmont Athletics Booster Club Foundation. Also, this was written to the best of his knowledge with issues that were spoken during our third meeting. There were no objections. Mr. Chavez made a brief presentation again about THE BOOSTER CLUB VISION. He invited parents, alumni, students and community members to participate in the election of this club. It was mentioned that there are many talented student athletes in Belmont H.S. but they need to be projected inside and out of the school. They have the potential to earn scholarship throughout academics and sports. Belmont Athletic Booster Club has seen that necessity and wants to take the challenge to go out and raise funds to support this cause. We can re-start this rich sport tradition which can be inherited by Belmont Athletes’ future generation. As any other challenge, this takes a hard work and can be accomplished with determination, especially when there are not many people who want to get involved. Mr. Chavez also said that at this time Belmont Athletic Booster Club has cero dollars to operatate, but it won’t be the reason not to start the club. Mr. Chavez made clear that as the club is formed, people will start to believe it and the Club will get popular support. It was pointed that in order to have a successful Belmont Athletic Program, we need more commitment by professionals involved in training our students in the school, especially at Belmont. Mr. Chavez gave special recognition to Mr. Neil La Sala, Belmont Athletic Director, and to the Belmont sport coaches who attended the meeting. They set aside their free time to join us, that was remarkable and highly appreciated by Belmont H.S. parents. As a Booster promoter, and as a parent, I give my son the school to get education academically and in sports, but I want to see a good leadership by the sport coaches in the school. Mr. Chavez recognized that low attendance was due to school vacation period but an effort was made to reach everybody by phone or e-mail. Mr. Chavez exposed that college’s coaches normally recruit high school student’s athletes whether they play in a club or High School. For these reasons, we need to start producing potential athletes who can play to any college level in the country. This way, we will draw the attention to our program by any school or any team, and hopefully, we might get people interested in our school athletes. THE WINNERS WILL BE OUR STUDENTS AND THE SCHOOL. Mr. Chavez asked Mr. Neil La Sala to help him to conduct The First Belmont Athletic Booster Club Election. Election was officially conducted. At this time the following people were elected: President: Mr. Damasio A. Chavez Vice-President: Mr. Mauricio Aranda: Secretary: Not elected yet Treasurer: Not elected yet 1st Volunteer Director: Ana Chavez 2nd.Membership Director: Not elected yet 3rd. He was proud to mention that it was throughout Belmont Sports engagement, he was a successful in life.
